1. Agreement & Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and Unique Teknek Courier & Logistics (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, requesting a delivery, or engaging our courier services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Unique Teknek is a veteran-owned, HIPAA-compliant courier service operating in Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. Our drivers are TWIC-certified for secure facility access and government shipments.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Unique Teknek provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:
- Same-day and rush delivery
- Medical specimen and healthcare logistics (HIPAA-compliant)
- Confidential legal document delivery
- Cargo and freight transport
- Retail and hotel deliveries
- Office relocation assistance
Service Scope: We transport packages and documents from pickup location to delivery location as specified in your delivery request. We do not open, inspect, or access shipment contents unless legally required or with your explicit written consent.
Availability: Services are available within Jacksonville, FL and surrounding service areas. Availability may vary based on location, timing, and shipment type. We will confirm service availability upon request.
3. Delivery Requests & Quotes
A. How to Request Service

B. Quotes & Pricing
- Quotes are provided based on pickup location, delivery location, shipment size, and service type
- Pricing is valid for 7 days from the quote date
- Final pricing will be confirmed before service begins
- Rush or same-day services may incur premium fees
C. Payment Terms
- Payment is required before or at pickup unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing
- Accepted payment methods: Credit card, debit card, ACH transfer, check
- All prices are in USD
- A receipt will be provided upon payment
D. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations Before Pickup: Full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee
- Cancellations After Pickup: No refund (delivery will be attempted as scheduled)
- Weather/Emergency Cancellations: Company-initiated cancellations will be refunded in full
- Rescheduling: Rescheduled deliveries may incur new pricing based on updated timing
4. Liability & Limitation of Responsibility
A. Liability Limits
Unique Teknek’s maximum liability is limited to the declared value of the shipment or $500, whichever is less. This applies to all claims including loss, damage, delay, or injury.
B. What We Are NOT Responsible For
We are not responsible for:
- Incorrect delivery information: If you provide wrong addresses or contact details, delivery delays or failures are your responsibility
- Shipment contents: We do not inspect contents; claims of missing, damaged, or defective items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
- Delays due to: Weather, traffic, recipient unavailability, road closures, or acts of God
- Special instructions: Delivery failures due to unspecified or unclear special delivery instructions
- Third-party actions: Actions by recipients, facility staff, or law enforcement
- Time-sensitive damages: Lost profits, business interruption, or consequential damages from delivery delays
C. What You Are Responsible For
- Accurate Information: Providing correct pickup/delivery addresses, recipient names, and contact information
- Appropriate Packaging: Ensuring shipments are properly packaged to prevent damage in transit
- Legal Compliance: Ensuring shipment contents comply with all federal, state, and local laws
- Hazardous Materials: Declaring any hazardous or regulated materials and complying with shipping regulations
D. Insurance
Standard courier service does not include shipment insurance. Optional insurance coverage is available at additional cost. For high-value or sensitive shipments, insurance is strongly recommended and must be requested at the time of booking.
5. HIPAA Compliance & Medical Shipments
Unique Teknek is HIPAA-compliant and handles Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with federal privacy and security regulations.
A. For Healthcare Providers & Medical Facilities
- A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) must be signed before we transport any PHI
- We maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation for all medical deliveries
- We do not access, read, or disclose shipment contents
- Our staff is trained in HIPAA confidentiality protocols
- All medical shipments are transported using secure, encrypted tracking systems
- Delivery records are retained for 6 years per HIPAA requirements
B. Medical Specimen Handling
- Specimens must be properly packaged per clinical laboratory standards
- We follow proper chain-of-custody procedures for lab specimens
- Delivery times are critical for specimen integrity; clients are responsible for notifying us of time-sensitive requirements
- We are not responsible for specimen degradation due to improper packaging or client-specified delays
C. HIPAA Violations
Clients are responsible for ensuring that shipment requests comply with HIPAA regulations. Any unauthorized disclosure of PHI is the responsibility of the party requesting the delivery.
6. TWIC Certification & Secure Facility Access
Our drivers maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) certification, allowing delivery to secure government facilities, military installations, and restricted areas.
- TWIC certification is verified before each secure facility delivery
- Clients are responsible for providing correct security clearance information
- Delivery delays due to security screening are not our liability
- Access denials due to client-provided incorrect information result in no refund
7. Confidentiality & Legal Document Delivery
For confidential document deliveries (legal, financial, sensitive business records):
- We maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures
- Digital delivery confirmation and signature capture are provided
- Documents are handled by TWIC-certified drivers
- We do not disclose or photograph shipment contents
- Delivery is confirmed to the specified recipient only
We are not responsible for: Incorrect recipient information, delivery refusal by recipient, or legal consequences of delivery delays.
8. Tracking & Real-Time Updates
A. Tracking Availability
Real-time tracking is available for most deliveries via our website or mobile tracking link.
B. Tracking Accuracy
- Tracking updates are provided on a best-effort basis
- GPS data may have minor delays (5-15 minutes)
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on real-time tracking data
- Tracking information is for informational purposes only
C. Tracking Opt-Out
You may request to opt out of real-time tracking, though this may limit our ability to provide delivery updates.
9. Delivery Confirmation & Proof of Delivery
A. Delivery Confirmation
- Deliveries are confirmed via signature, photo, or digital acknowledgment
- Proof of delivery includes date, time, and recipient information
- Delivery is considered complete when confirmed by recipient or facility
B. Disputed Deliveries
- Claims of non-delivery must be reported within 24 hours
- We will investigate based on proof-of-delivery records
- If delivery is verified, no refund will be issued
- If delivery cannot be confirmed, we will reattempt delivery or issue a refund
C. Recipient Refusal
If the recipient refuses delivery:
- We will contact you immediately
- Return shipping or re-delivery options will be discussed
- Clients are responsible for return shipping costs unless we caused the refusal
10. Service Area & Delivery Times
A. Service Area
We primarily serve Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. Out-of-area deliveries may be available at premium pricing.
B. Delivery Timeframes
- Same-Day Delivery: Within 4 hours of pickup (subject to availability)
- Rush Delivery: Within 24 hours
- Scheduled Delivery: As agreed upon
- Time Estimates: Are approximate and not guaranteed
We are not responsible for: Delays caused by traffic, weather, recipient unavailability, or facility access restrictions.
C. Business Hours
Standard operations: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM
Weekend/Holiday service available upon request at premium rates
11. Client Conduct & Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information in delivery requests
- Request transport of illegal, hazardous, or restricted materials
- Harass, threaten, or be disruptive to our drivers
- Interfere with our operations or driver safety
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access our tracking or billing systems without authorization
- Share login credentials with unauthorized parties
Violation of these terms may result in: Service termination, legal action, and liability for damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unique Teknek, our owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of our services
- Shipment contents (including illegal or hazardous materials)
- Inaccurate information you provided
- Your violation of these Terms
- Injury or property damage caused by your shipment or actions
13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
A. Disputes
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
B. Jurisdiction
Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.
C. Arbitration
For disputes under $10,000, either party may elect binding arbitration as an alternative to litigation. Arbitration costs will be split equally.
14. Limitation on Class Actions
You and Unique Teknek agree that disputes shall be resolved individually, not as part of a class action, class arbitration, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in class actions or consolidated proceedings against the Company.
15. Modifications to Terms
Unique Teknek may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective:
- Immediately upon posting to our website
- 30 days after email notification (for material changes)
Your continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any signed Business Associate Agreements (for healthcare clients), constitute the entire agreement between you and Unique Teknek and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and negotiations.
